About Thomas Schuch
Mr. Schuch began his formal acting training at the University of Washington, a national leader in theater training. After getting his B.A. in Drama, Mr. Schuch continued his studies at the Harvey Lembeck Comedy Improv Workshop in L.A. He then returned to his home in Albuquerque and helped found two regional performance troupes: Surely You Jest (comedy improv) and Shakespeare-On-The-Halfshell. He has appeared in numerous films and television series including Blood Thinner Than Water (written and directed by Alan Arkin), Five Dollars a Day, Mall Cop, Doubting Thomas, In Plain Sight, Wildfire, Longmire, The Night Shift, Manhattan, Preacher, and Better Call Saul as well as many national and regional commercials, and more than sixty plays. A leader in the New Mexico performing arts community and a member of Actors Equity Association, Mr. Schuch was a founding member of Albuquerque’s Mother Road Theatre Company, where he served as board President and Director of Marketing in addition to performing in The Weir, The Memory of Water, The Seafarer, The Illusion, and The Quality of Life. Through his own company, Spoli Productions International, LLC, Mr. Schuch has been performing and touring the solo show Einstein: A Stage Portrait by Willard Simms internationally since 2001 and his new, original show, Einstein’s Violin - A Play In Three Movements since 2016. Through Spoli he has also produced Alan Arkin's workshop, “Crossing the Chasm from Theatre to Life: A Forum in Improvisation.” He is a past President (5 terms) of SAG-AFTRA NM Local and also sits on the board of the innovative Q-Staff Theatre. Mr. Schuch is also a much sought after host/interviewer, speaker, teacher, and trainer.
